Hey, Laura! So, I don’t know what you’re exact plans are, or where you are flying into, but these are my suggestions. I will say that it will be hard to comfortably fit all of these locations into a two week trip, but it’s doable. To get them all done in the way you want, I would definitely recommend renting a car, if you feel comfortable doing that! I personally would start in Chef, then go to Fes, Merzouga desert, (I would stop somewhere between Merzouga and Marrakech, because its a long, hard trip to do it in one go), I recommend Ouarzazate, and then Marrakech, and lastly, Essaouria.
Chef - blue city
Fes
Hotel Sahrai - this is a place that I would splurge on!
Riad Dar Iline - if you’re no down to splurge, this place is beautiful and authentic, while still providing the comforts.
Merzouga
Kanz Erremal - I ADORE this place! It’s great hotel right on the dunes and they will also arrange a camel trek and tent stay for you, if you’d like.
Desert Heart Luxury Camp - the price is for two people and includes dinner and breakfast
Essaouria
Marrakech - Budget
Riad Dihya
Budget doesn’t usually look like this. It isn’t directly off the main square or in the souk, but it is very close. It also keeps you from having to navigate the main souk in the dark, if you decide to stay out late. The staff is insanely helpful and the riad provides breakfast. PLUS, there’s a nice rooftop pool, which you will still be thankful for in September! And all for under $40 USD!
Riad 117
This is a great bang for your buck! Beautiful raid, right in the heart of the old medina, with an awesome staff and a beautiful pool and breakfast included all for under $50 USD. If you like this one, make sure to book it early, because it will fill up!
Mid-Range
Riad Khol
This place is stunning and well priced for what they offer. Beautiful rooms, many with bathtubs, which feels awesome if you’ve been traveling for a bit, or spent the day walking around the medina. There is also a hamman with spa services and a wonderful breakfast buffet every morning. Even better, its only $80 USD.
Riad Jnan El Cadi
This beautiful riad is located right in the heart of great shopping. It also has lovely rooms with an awesome terrace and dipping pool. There is also a complimentary breakfast and a super friendly staff. All for $80 USD.
LUXURY
Riad Palais Sebban
This riad is a little more on the expensive end, but definitely still an amazing deal. The location is AMAZING, as is the staff, decor, and food! The riad a few doors down from this one is 3X the price, with no real added advantage, in my opinion.
Ksar Kasbah & Spa
If you are really looking to splurge and heal that broken heart with the help of a sexy instagram photo or two, this is the place to do it. I mean, seriously, just look at it. THAT COULD BE YOU. It has an awesome location, a hamman with spa services, a restaurant, and a terrace with great views. This one fills up fast and is about $140-170 USD.
